Secret Cove gives me the feeling of having a beautiful view all to myself with rich, blue water and pristine coastline. I adapted this scene from a place in Mendocino, CA, called Cypress Grove. If you look north from this place, you will see this cove, but I removed the buildings to give it the feeling of being untouched by humans.
Below in the collage, you will see many pieces of ephemera, including:
-Illustrations of fossilized shells
- A globe
- An owl
- A vintage picture mat embellished with flowers and a ribbon
- A poem titled The Vagabond
- A butterfly (signifying beauty, change, and flight)
- A clock hand pointing up
- A book page about botany titled "New Plants from Old Stems."
These items create a story in my mind that may be different than the story in yours. I don't start with an idea for a narrative. It comes together after the piece is finished. I imagine this piece to be about a world traveler who's very in tune with nature. What do you think of when you see this collection?

This acrylic painting is on canvas and stretched on stretcher bars. The sides are painted grey. You can frame it if you like, or you can hang it as is.

Cancellations
Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason. Please notify me right away if you would like to cancel an order, as prompt cancellation will reduce the likelihood that there will be any shipping charges.
Once shipping or pickup has been initiated, the cancellation will be considered a return.
Returns
Buyers will be responsible for packaging and shipping the return within 10 business days after the package is received. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Buyers may not be reimbursed for returns that are not received in original condition.
Local Pickup & Local Delivery
All sales final once the buyer takes possession of the item.
If you decide to cancel the order at pick up a refund will be issued. Do not take the item with you.
